President's Message

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Member Appreciation Event on May 30 at Topgolf San Jose. It was wonderful to connect, build relationships, and celebrate our PMISV community.
Our chapter thrives because of members who learn together, share experiences, volunteer their time, and support one another. Thank you for being part of that journey.
As AI and new ways of working continue to reshape our profession, staying connected and learning from one another has never been more important. This month, our PM Insights sessions focus on AI and project leadership. From managing AI initiatives responsibly to using AI as a strategic thinking partner, these sessions offer practical ideas and real-world perspectives that project professionals can apply in their daily work.
I would also like to highlight our Women in Project Management Forum, presented in collaboration with PMISF Chapter and BAWSI. This special fireside chat will focus on leadership, teamwork, mentorship, and professional growth while providing an opportunity to connect with project professionals across our PMI community.
We are excited to welcome participants to Cohort 10 of the PMISV Chapter Leadership Program, which begins on June 1. This eight-week program helps members strengthen their leadership skills through learning, collaboration, and practical discussions.
Our featured June workshop, The Future of Work for Project Leaders: Skills, Systems & Strategy, will explore how project leaders can successfully work with teams that include AI agents, freelancers, and full-time employees.
Looking ahead, planning is well underway for PMI Silicon Valley Symposium 2026 on October 2nd. I encourage members to submit speaker proposals and share their experiences with the community. If your company is interested in increasing its visibility among project professionals and business leaders, please consider becoming a Symposium Sponsor.
A special thank you to International Business Consultants (IBC), our Gold Sponsor for Symposium 2026, for supporting our chapter and community.
Thank you for being part of PMI Silicon Valley. I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event.
Cheers,
Hanu Malineni PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe SPC, DASSM
President, PMI Silicon Valley Chapter
