President's Message

Dear PMI Silicon Valley Chapter member,

At PMI Silicon Valley, we grow by learning from each other, supporting one another, and moving forward together as a community. April is a great time to continue that. March was a strong month for our chapter, with engaged participation and meaningful conversations across our PM Insights sessions, AI-focused workshop, and community events. Our Military & Public Sector Career Transition session also brought together experienced leaders and professionals, reinforcing the value of shared experience. Thank you to our speakers, volunteers, and members who made this possible.

Now, we carry that momentum into April. This month, our focus is on practical learning. Our hands-on AI workshop is designed to help you apply AI directly in your project work. The focus is on real application, so you can use AI in your projects, not just understand it. Our PM Insights sessions will continue to focus on real challenges across leadership and delivery. We are also kicking off our Mentorship Program on April 6, offering an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and grow through shared experiences. If you’re new, or even if you’ve been with us for a while, I encourage you to attend the New Member Orientation. It’s a simple way to understand what the chapter offers and how to make the most of your membership. We’re also seeing growing interest in PMI certifications and are planning to start study groups to support certification aspirants. If you’re interested in facilitating a PMP study group and helping guide others, please feel free to reach out.

April is also a time to recognize something important. This chapter runs on people. Our volunteers give their time and effort to make all of this possible. Our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner is a small way to recognize their contribution. Wherever you are in your journey, whether you’re here to learn, grow, or give back, we are here to support you.
