Before you can claim PDUs online for chapter events, you will need the following information:

  • Your PMI ID number
  • Your PMP Cert number
  • Your CCR password
  • Event Title
  • Event Date
  • Event Type (Evening, Breakfast, …)
  • Event Host Contact Information

Step 1: Locate the CCR Reporting Forms

  1. Go to https://ccrs.pmi.org/
  2. On the top right, click "Log In" and enter your PMI username and password (NOT your PMISV credentials!)
  3. In the left side bar, click 'Report professional development units (PDUs)'
  4. On the 'Report Professional Development Units' form page, select the Category (see list below). Instructions below are for Category A events.

Step 2A: Claim your PDUs for 1, 1.5, or 2 PDU Events, such as the regular PM Insights (multiple locations and topics), Breakfast meetings or Group meetings

  1. Select  "Cat A: Registered Education Provider/PMI Component" for PDU category
  2. Select "Report a component 1-2 PDU Event" for Activity Type
  3. Click [Next]
  4. Enter C174 for Component ID
  5. Click [Search]
  6. "C174  PMI Silicon Valley Chapter" should be listed. If so, click "C174".
  7. Enter the correct Activity date completed and Activity title
  8. Leave Activity meeting number blank
  9. Optional: Enter for Contact person: PMISV Programs
  10. Optional: Enter for Phone number: 408-462-1033
  11. Optional: Enter for E-mail address (and confirm e-mail): vp_programs@pmisv.org
  12. Click [Next]
  13. Enter the number of PDUs claimed (see list below)
  14. Click [Next]
  15. Confirm that all information is correct before clicking the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions
  16. Click [Submit]

Step 2B: Claim your PDUs for events with more than 2 PDUs, such as Workshops

  1. Select  "Cat A: Registered Education Provider/PMI Component" for PDU category
  2. For events with more than 2 PDUs: select 'Find an Activity (Course or Event)'
  3. Click [Next]
  4. Enter for Provider number: C174
  5. Enter for Provider name: PMI Silicon Valley
  6. For Activity Number and Name, enter the information given to you during or after the event. In case of questions, please, contact the host.
  7. Click [Search]
  8. Click on the Activity Number of the event you attended
  9. Enter the start and end date and provide information on the quality of the program
  10. Click [Next]
  11. Confirm the number of PDUs and click [Next]
  12. Confirm that all information is correct before clicking the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions
  13. Click [Submit]

The number of credits that can be claimed is:

  • Career Management Seminars - 2.0 PDUs
  • Tools & Techniques Forum - 1.5 PDUs
  • Evening Program - 1.5 PDUs 
  • Breakfast Meetings - 1.5 PDUs
