When:  September 23, 2014 6:00pm-8:00pm
Where:  Peninsula Jewish Community Center, 800 Foster City Boulevard,
Foster City

Last date for online registration: 9/18/2014

Description:

Most project managers are faced with problems and "fires" to put out throughout a project. In a hurry to deliver, not much can be done about the problem but to put a Band-Aid on it. Unsurprisingly, Deja Vu happens: the same problem reoccurs on the next project, and/or on the projects of our colleagues, and the fire-fighting continues.

As a consequence, Product Development teams can spend up to 2/3rds of their time on reworking activities due to avoidable problems that have happened in the past or are happening elsewhere in the same organization.

Through this fun presentation (filled with first-hand anecdotes), you will learn and practice a repeatable and systemic approach for early detection and early resolution of problems, and that guarantees recurrence prevention and organizational learning. Any contributor in the organization can use this approach!

Attendee takeaways:

●          Counter-intuitive insights to the real causes of recurring problems

●          The ingredients to create a Problem-Solving organization

●          A simple framework and actionable tools for identifying and

            solving problems permanently

●          How to identify and address behavioral/mindset blockers
