Description:

Negotiations are commonplace in our society. Whether you’re discussing a signing bonus with your prospective employer or assigning projects to your team members, trying to talk your way out of a speeding ticket or telling your daughter to clean her room, buying a car or asking your boss to send you to a conference in Hawaii – you are negotiating.

However, people still prefer to avoid negotiations like the plague. So they concede that $10K signing bonus, get that $300 speeding ticket and pay $150 for those floor mats without even trying. Negotiations are often seen as stressful, nerve-racking and unpleasant experiences, but they don’t have to be.

This workshop will teach you basic negotiation terms, principles, rules and concepts. You will take part in 3 different negotiations and analyze them in detail. You will learn to use leverage and recognize your counterparts’ mistakes to get the upper hand. You will learn to negotiate persuasively while remaining respectful. You will learn to win negotiations without making the other party feel like a loser.

More importantly, you will learn to actually look forward to negotiations and use them to your advantage to get what you want.

By attending this workshop, you will not only learn…

•               …how to apply basic negotiation concepts and principles

•               …how to approach different types of negotiations

•               …how to get advantage without taking advantage

•               …how to avoid making costly negotiation mistakes

But also

•               …participate in three (3) real negotiations with your peers

•             …feel the rush and the pressure of real negotiations

•               …share your results and experiences with your peers
