Synopsis:

Being able to communicate effectively is critical for personal and professional success, and make no mistake: presenting numerical information – an important part of any project manager’s job – is communicating. And yet, we are not taught the notion that presenting numbers is a communication skill, requiring an understanding of the “grammar,” a sense of narrative flow, and respect for one’s audience.

Randall Bolten’s book, Painting with Numbers: Presenting Financials and Other Numbers So People Will Understand You, is the first book to take this perspective, and is loaded with practical tips and advice on how to make your numbers more understandable and impactful, and at the same time establish a rapport with your audience.

Bolten provides a practical, novel, and entertaining perspective on the skill – and art – of presenting numbers.
