The Forum’s mission is to provide a community for women interested in the Project Management profession, focused on mutual growth and sharing of knowledge through informal meetings, networking and mentoring. Through mutual sharing the group seeks to provide insights into Project Management issues common to multiple industries. This interaction enables participants to make significant positive changes to their work environment.

Meeting Leader:  Jennifer Swenson  Contact Event Host

 JenniferSwensonJennifer Swenson has more than 10 years experience in program and project portfolio management. She was certified as PMP in 2002 and as Sr. PM in IBM in 2003. Her PM experience included both waterfall and agile practice with internal stakeholders and external contractual customers in wide range fields: SW, HW, infrastructure, OEM, Joint Venture, etc. She has managed mission critical, cross functional programs interfacing with end-to-end business or engineering processes. She directly interacted with customers from end users to executives. Jennifer also worked in people management building global teams, in business management taking on large portfolios for certain business sectors, and turning around troubled business areas with programs and operations including 24x7 support in IBM. Jennifer is an active Toastmaster and has served as VP Education and then President in 2010 for Vox club in IBM. She is currently working for Juniper Networks as a Program Manager. 

Swee Hor Teh is the co-host. She is a 16 year IT veteran, having held roles in IT architecture, system analysis & requirements, product knowledge engineering, program management, applications development and support, database management, and managed services. Throughout her career, she has gained respect for good interpersonal skills coupled with a tenacious ability to get the job done.  She holds a Computer Science PhD from Texas A&M University, a master degree in Electrical and Electronic Eng and has taught at the University of London and Utah Valley State University. Swee Hor is widely published in the area of Software Engineering and Reusability.  In keeping up with change and growth in business, Swee Hor is constantly upgrading and enhancing her knowledge, she obtained her Project Management Professional certification (PMP) in 2010 and is an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Expert V3 certified.  She is a core member of the PMI Silicon Valley Community Outreach team.
