Claiming PDUs for Chapter Events

Before you can claim PDUs online for chapter events, you will need the following information:

  • Your PMI ID number
  • Your PMP Cert number
  • Your CCR password
  • Event Title
  • Event Date
  • Event Type (Evening, Breakfast, …)
  • Event Host Contact Information

Step 1: Locate the CCR Reporting Forms

  1. Go to https://www.pmi.org/CCRS/
  2. On the top right, click "Log In" and enter your PMI username and password (NOT your PMISV credentials!)
  3. In the left side bar, click 'Report professional development units (PDUs)'
  4. On the 'Report Professional Development Units' form page, select the Category (see list below). Instructions below are for Category 3 events.

 
Step 2A: Claim your PDUs for 1, 1.5, or 2 PDU Events

  1. For 1, 1.5, or 2 PDU Events, such as the regular Evening, Career Management, Tools & Techniques, or Breakfast meetings: select ‘Report Component 1-2 PDU Event’
  2. Click Next
  3. Enter for Component ID: C174
  4. Click Next
  5. Check that "C174  PMI Silicon Valley Chapter" is listed and click on C174.
  6. Enter the correct Activity Date completed and Activity title
  7. Leave Activity meeting number blank
  8. Optional: Enter for Contact person: PMISV Programs
  9. Optional: Enter for Phone number: 408-782-4114
  10. Optional: Enter for E-mail address (and confirm e-mail): programs@pmisv.org
  11. Click Next
  12. Enter the number of PDUs earned (see list below)
  13. Click Next
  14. Confirm that all information is correct and accept the terms and conditions
  15. Submit

Step 2B: Claim your PDUs for events with more than 2 PDUs

  1. For events with more than 2 PDUs: select 'Find an Activity (Course or Event)'
  2. Click Next
  3. Enter for Provider number: C174
  4. Enter for Provider name: PMI Silicon Valley
  5. For Activity Number and Name, enter the information given to you during the event. In case of questions, please, contact the host.
  6. Click Search.
  7. Click on the Activity Number of the event you attended.
  8. Enter the start and end date and provide information on the quality of the program.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Confirm the number of PDUs and click Next.
  11. Confirm that all information is correct and accept the terms and conditions
  12. Submit

The number of credits that can be claimed is:

  • Career Management Seminars - 2.0 PDUs
  • Tools & Techniques Forum - 1.5 PDUs
  • Evening Program - 1.5 PDUs (1.0 PDUs for events before Sep 2009).
  • Breakfast Meetings - 1.5 PDUs (Category 2 - SDL or Category 3 - Option 3)
