In a world where speed of deployment is fast becoming a trend, with companies scrambling to get on the bandwagon, there is a need to pause and evaluate if the projects are aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives and if the projects are being executed successfully. A strategic enterprise-wide EPMO acts as a unifying thread across various departments and projects, ensuring that the eventual focus remains on helping the organization achieve its strategic goals. The enterprise PMO must also evolve to be seen as an effective partner, instead of a bureaucratic appendage, to the organization and must be nimble, scalable and technology-enabled to meet the ever-growing needs of today’s fast-paced organizations.
This interactive session will explore key challenges faced by organizations in today’s fast-paced environment and the resultant pressures experienced by traditional PMOs. The presenter will share real world examples (from companies of various sizes and industries) where organizations have been able to respond positively by adopting enterprise-wide delivery concepts. Portions of the session will also be interactive, providing attendees the opportunity to share their own experiences and identify solutions to their specific challenges with the assistance of the other conference attendees.

• Characteristics of today’s organizations – IT focused, time to market, do more with less etc., and challenges faced while implementing multiple projects.
