Description:

Projects take too long. There are many causes of delays and issues. Two of the main ones are lack of a clear plan and lack of a clear execution monitoring process and tool. Project Acceleration through Commitment-Based Project Management teaches you how to solve these two problems. Planning is done as a group, in a process called “Map Day”. Execution is regularly monitored through a highly-automated Excel spreadsheet.

This approach, developed at Intel Corporation for the development of its semiconductor products, has been successfully used with software, construction, aerospace, medical device, manufacturing, and construction projects. At Intel, when initially implemented, projects dramatically reduced project slips.

This course is ideal for experienced project managers and team members who are looking for a faster way to develop plans and a faster way to manage their projects. It is also ideal for consultants who want to use this approach in their consulting engagements to deliver faster projects. It should be of interest to executives looking for another way to manage projects, one that has proven to be successful.
