Description: 

Most managers struggle in their first leadership positions and often experience career limitations. We will review current leadership perceptions, what constitutes effective leadership, and research findings on training. How does developing a Personal Leadership Philosophy provide the foundation for accelerating your success as a professional? We'll present a step-by-step process for developing a Leader’s Compass and address key factors that enable good project managers to become superior leaders.

By attending this event, you will:

About the Instructor:

mavroleonJUDY MAVROLEON is a Certified Executive Leadership Development Instructor/Facilitator and Coach with JM Impact Consulting LLC. She provides multiple-day Academy Leadership Excellence and Executive Coaching Courses and customized in-house leadership development programs in Arizona, California, and Hawaii.

She has over 30 years of leadership and business management experience in numerous executive positions such as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Director of Finance, Director of Human Resources, and Director of Public Works for military training sites and higher education. She is a Certified Business Continuity Planner, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a combat veteran Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army California National Guard active reserves.

Ms. Mavroleon earned a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) concentrating on International Development and Business Consulting from Monterey Institute of International Studies and has a B.A. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Judy is passionate about leadership and dedicated to helping others develop their leadership potential.

Cancellation Policy

This event is a professional society meeting, held for the benefit of its members. The Plan Ahead registration fee paid is based on the registrant's ability to commit to attendance, ahead of time. The Plan Ahead registration fee will not be refunded for any reason, other than event cancellation, after normal business hours (5:00 PM, Pacific) on the registration deadline day. The PMI - Silicon Valley Chapter reserves the right to make last minute changes to program content and speakers, as circumstances dictate.
