Presentation Description:
Stakeholder Mind-Reading for the IT Project Environment
Do you wonder why your customers and stakeholders are dissatisfied, even when you give them exactly what they asked for? Do “stakeholder business requirements” send you down costly paths and create unnecessary rework? MindReading 101™ is an approach to help you and your stakeholders really get what you really want.
Learn how to look behind the request, and discover what’s really important—even if your stakeholders weren’t aware of it when they specified their needs. Discover hidden traps and risks and avoid blind alleys…all with a few simple techniques.
Takeaways: As a result of the presentation and exercises, attendees will understand and be able to apply in their work:
•The difference between solutions and results
•The difference between requests and expectations
•Three hidden traps that keep us stuck
•Three key questions and one technique that will get you started as a “mindreader.”

About the Speaker(s):
Kevin B Kreitman, PhD
Master Organizational Mechanic and President, The Organization Zone LLC
Dr. Kreitman discovered her passion in life early: To figure out why systems that look like they should work, don’t—and how to design systems that do. Much of her professional focus has been on early phase system definition and systems architecture through requirements engineering, and she has developed, taught and applied methods for purpose analysis, value analysis, and problem framing in Systems Architecting in the fields of aerospace and information systems.
Her early work involved designing and analyzing socio-technical systems, and aligning process and information systems in business and education. She spent most of the past 15 years consulting in Enterprise Architecture (Business, Information, Security Architecture), advising on software intensive systems and teaching professional Enterprise Architecture certification courses. She earned her PMP in 2009.
A sought after speaker and trainer, she is committed to making people and organizations stunningly effective, and ensuring that they and their clients “really get what they really want.”
