Description:

LinkedIn is a powerful tool for growing your personal brand. There are hundreds of thousands of project and program managers looking for the next great opportunity. Do you know how to differentiate yourself and take advantage of this valuable tool?   LinkedIn is supposed to be easy, and project managers are smart people, but networking and social media are not skills for which PMI offers pdu’s.

Is LinkedIn an online resume? An expanded business card? Should you share personal information? Does it matter how many connections you have? Is anyone even looking? Once you have that great profile set up, will employers be lined up at the door to hire you?

This practical and informative workshop will demonstrate how to use the world’s largest business network to powerfully represent yourself both passively if someone you meet looks at your profile and actively to gain attention from recruiters and employers. You will see how LinkedIn can help you enhance your personal brand and promote your expertise as a project manager. And you will find out how to dominate searches and establish a powerful online identity. You will have an opportunity to evaluate profiles and generate your own list of personal goals for LinkedIn.

Key Takeaways

•          Learn how to create an inviting profile that effectively promotes yourself as a project or program manager

•          Find out how to choose proper keywords and place them effectively to show up in searches

•          Learn how you can find and connect to companies and employers who may have project/program management opportunities

This session will be beneficial for both people who are relatively new to using LinkedIn and those who’ve had a profile for years, but want to amp up their visibility and use it more effectively. You will receive a free self-scoring assessment to evaluate your own LinkedIn profile.
