Community Outreach Program - Habitat Restoration at Palo Alto Baylands

When:  March 1, 2014  8:45am - 1:00pm

Where:  Palo Alto Baylands

In August 2013, we helped Save the Bay remove non-native species in the Palo Alto Baylands. It proved to be a fun and educational morning. For this event, we will return to the same area to plant native species and look for signs of progress in restoring this beautiful and vital area. Activities are easy to learn and make a positive impact on the health of the wetlands. Let's help Save the Bay reach their goal of planting 40,000 native plants around the bay by the end of March.

WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR

Expect to get dirty! Be prepared to be outdoors for the duration of the project. Dress in layers and wear close-toed shoes to protect your feet. Long pants are recommended, but not required. Bring a wide brim hat and sunscreen. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FULL REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE.
