When: 9 November 2016, 5:30pm-8:30pm
Projects take too long. There are many causes of delays and issues. Two of the main ones are lack of a clear plan and lack of a clear execution monitoring process and tool. Project Acceleration through Commitment-Based Project Management teaches you how to solve these two problems. Planning is done as a group, in a process called “Map Day”. Execution is regularly monitored through a highly-automated Excel spreadsheet. This approach, developed at Intel Corporation for the development of its semiconductor products, has been successfully used with software, IT infrastructure, construction, aerospace, medical device, manufacturing, and construction projects. At Intel, when initially implemented, schedule slips were dramatically.
This session will be an abbreviated version of the day-long workshop that covers the material. As such, it will cover only the highlights of the approach.
