Description:
The Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is the most important credential a project manager can earn. This workshop prepares you to submit your application, study for, and pass the PMP certification examination or the Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) examination based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide 4th Edition. The workshop consists of 35 in-class hours and covers basic project management concepts and terminology as defined by PMI, focusing on the PMI project management process framework organized by five process groups and nine knowledge areas. Participants discuss the practical application of these project management processes in preparation for the PMP exam and practice answering questions similar to those they could encounter on the exam. The workshop includes study tools, memory aids and test taking tips that will help you make the most of your study time.
By attending this workshop, participants will
- Understand the PMI certification process and requirements
- Be able to evaluate their eligibility for certification as either CAPM or PMP
- Be able to file the appropriate application
- Be familiar with the PMI terminology, PMI project management concepts, process groups, and knowledge areas
- Build confidence by taking sample exams with questions similar to those found on the PMP/CAPM certification exam
This workshop prepares you to achieve one of the most desired professional certifications in the industry. What are you waiting for?
