Evening Program

TV 2.0 The Digital Cliff: Promises and Risk at the Digital Television Transition

Event Sponsor

Last Date for Registration : 2/13/2009 10:00pm Pacific

Description :

The day after this talk will begin a new era in broadcast television. The change will impact more people’s viewing habits than the conversion from black and white to color TV. April Calou has worked in the television broadcast field for many years. She will explain how this transition came about and the significant risks involved in making it happen. We will explore the history, politics and financial impact of this great endeavor. Years have transpired since the plan was put in place. The next day we get to find out how the story ends. Will be a smashing success or a fiery crash?

About the Speaker:

As senior project manager, April Calou is responsible for the engineering and management duties relating to medium and large scale systems contracts.  She performs the professional design and management of tasks necessary to take a turnkey system project from inception to completion.  Other responsibilities also include day-to-day liaison with senior technical and management representatives of clientele.

Evening Programs are an excellent opportunity for members and non-members to network with peers and stay on top of our ever-changing Silicon Valley. The event is a combination of networking, chapter announcements, food, and a topical presentation on a project management related subject. For Project Management Professionals (PMP) the event offers educational credit toward maintaining your certification credential.

We are pleased to announce that, now you have a choice of regular Dinner Buffet or just Coffee & Dessert.
